What is Linktude, and what makes it different from other link-in-bio tools?
Linktude transforms your single social link into an active, multi-currency commerce gateway. Unlike passive aggregators that simply list links, Linktude embeds payment collection directly into your linktu.de profile — so you can sell products, take bookings, collect donations, issue invoices, and deliver digital downloads, all from one link, without sending visitors to a separate checkout. We exist to give your links the attitude that yields global money.
Who can use Linktude?
Linktude is open to any individual or business aged 18 and above. Whether you are a freelancer, creator, small business owner, event organiser, or enterprise vendor, Linktude adapts to your commerce needs. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. The platform is not available to minors.
Is Linktude a bank or payment processor?
No. Linktude is a technology provider — not a bank, financial institution, or payment processor. We connect you to licensed, regulated third-party Payment Service Providers (PSPs) like Flutterwave, who handle the actual processing and custody of funds. This non-custodial model means Linktude never holds your money; it flows directly through our PSP partners to your verified account.
What domains does Linktude operate on?
Linktude operates across three domains for different purposes: linktude.com is our corporate site for legal documents, support, and account login; linktu.de is the short-link service where your public profile lives (e.g., linktu.de/your-name); and linktude.app is your private management dashboard where you build and manage your Commerce Gates.
Do I need a website to use Linktude?
Not at all. Linktude is not a traditional website builder — it is your entire commerce front end in a single link. Your linktu.de profile acts as a high-conversion, mobile-ready commerce page that works everywhere you share a link: social media bios, WhatsApp messages, email signatures, and beyond.
Does Linktude work for both Nigerian and international sellers?
Yes. Linktude is built for global commerce with a strong local foundation. You can collect payments in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and United States Dollars (USD) via international card processing. NGN payments settle directly to your Nigerian bank account, while USD payments settle as USDC (USD Coin) to your verified crypto wallet — making Linktude a practical fit for vendors serving both local and international customers.
What are Commerce Gates?
Commerce Gates are Linktude's purpose-built link templates. Each one is engineered for a specific type of transaction or interaction, so instead of pointing visitors to a generic page, every gate is optimised for its job — whether that is retail, booking, fundraising, or digital delivery. Every link on your linktu.de profile is powered by one of Linktude's 10 Commerce Gates.
What are the 10 Commerce Gates available on Linktude?
The 10 Commerce Gates are: Landing Page (personal or brand profile with unlimited sub-links), Redirect Link (smart traffic routing and campaign tracking), Digital Download (secure paywall for eBooks, courses, and software), Product Storefront (retail for physical and digital goods), Service Booking (scheduling and payment for consultations and appointments), Payment & Invoice (custom project fees and B2B payments), Newsletter & Forms (waitlists, lead capture, and CRM growth), Event Link (ticketing and registration with live countdown timers), Donation & Tip Jar (fundraising and audience appreciation), and Memberships & Subscriptions (recurring access to exclusive content and communities).
Can I have multiple Commerce Gates active on one profile?
Yes. Your linktu.de profile can host multiple Commerce Gates simultaneously. For example, you can run a Product Storefront, a Service Booking gate, and a Tip Jar all under your single profile link. The Business Hub plan unlocks Pro Landing Pages with unlimited nested gates, letting you organise your commerce into a full multi-layer experience.
How does the Digital Download gate deliver files to buyers?
When a customer completes payment through your Digital Download gate, they automatically receive a time-limited, single-use presigned download link that grants access to your file from secure cloud storage. Your files are never exposed publicly — delivery only happens after a confirmed, successful transaction.
What is the difference between the Payment & Invoice gate and the Product Storefront gate?
The Product Storefront is designed for listing multiple items — physical or digital — with images, descriptions, and pricing, optimised for retail-style selling. The Payment & Invoice gate is for bespoke, one-off charges: you set a specific amount and description, then share the link with a single client for that exact payment. Think of it as the difference between a shop and a custom invoice.
Can I sell event tickets through Linktude?
Yes. The Event Link gate is built specifically for ticket sales and event registrations. It features live countdown timers to build urgency, supports full payment collection, and manages registration capacity — all within your Linktude profile, without needing any third-party ticketing tool.
How does the Memberships & Subscriptions gate work?
The Memberships & Subscriptions gate lets you charge your audience on a recurring basis in exchange for exclusive access — whether that is a private community, premium content library, or members-only resources. You define the price and billing cycle; Linktude handles the payment collection and access management through your linktu.de profile.
What currencies can I collect payments in?
Linktude currently supports payment collection in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and United States Dollars (USD) via international card processing. NGN payments are processed through local PSP partners like Flutterwave, while USD payments are processed through international card networks. We are continuously expanding our supported payment methods and currencies.
How and when will I receive my money?
Verified payments, net of Linktude's transaction fee and any applicable PSP fees, are posted for settlement by the next business day after the payment is successfully confirmed by our Payment Service Provider. For NGN payments, funds settle directly to your verified Nigerian bank account. For USD payments, funds settle as USDC (USD Coin) to the USDC-compatible wallet address you have provided on your account.
Why does USD settle as USDC instead of a regular bank transfer?
USD settlements are issued as USDC because it is the fastest and most globally accessible way to move US Dollars — especially for vendors in markets with limited USD banking infrastructure. USDC is a regulated stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US Dollar, which minimises volatility risk. You are solely responsible for providing an accurate and compatible USDC wallet address; Linktude cannot recover funds sent to an incorrect or unsupported address.
Does Linktude hold my funds?
No. Linktude operates on a strictly non-custodial model. We never take custody of your money. All funds are processed and held by our licensed PSP partners (e.g., Flutterwave) until they are settled to your verified account. This is a deliberate design choice to keep your earnings under the protection of regulated financial institutions.
Who is responsible for refunds if a customer requests one?
As the Merchant of Record, you (the Vendor) are solely responsible for handling all refund and dispute requests from your customers. Linktude does not process refunds on your behalf. You are expected to resolve disputes directly with your customers. Any chargebacks initiated through a customer's bank are your financial liability, and the associated costs will be recovered from your future settlement payments.
Are payments processed securely?
Yes. Linktude does not store sensitive payment card data — full card numbers, CVVs, and PINs are handled exclusively by our Level 1 PCI-DSS certified PSP partners. All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted via SSL/TLS. Linktude's architecture is designed to minimise the attack surface for payment data from the ground up.
What subscription plans does Linktude offer?
Linktude offers two paid plans. The Solo Gate plan is priced at $1/month (or $10/year) and is designed for individuals starting with a single focused Commerce Gate. The Business Hub plan is priced at $10/month (or $100/year) and is built for creators and businesses that need the full suite — unlimited nested gates, advanced analytics, higher storage limits, and priority support. Both plans are priced in USD, with NGN equivalents available for local billing. Visit Linktude Pricing for updated plans.
Does Linktude offer a free trial?
The Business Hub plan includes a 7-day free trial, giving you full access to all features before your first billing cycle begins. The Solo Gate plan does not include a free trial but is available at just $1/month — an accessible entry point to test the platform with a live Commerce Gate before committing to a higher tier.
What is Linktude's transaction fee, and how is it different from payment processor fees?
Linktude deducts a platform fee from every successful transaction: 5% on the Solo Gate plan and 3% on the Business Hub plan. This fee is separate from the transaction fees charged by our Payment Service Providers (e.g., Flutterwave), which cover the actual cost of processing the payment through card networks. PSP fees may optionally be passed on to your customers as a convenience fee — you control this in your gate settings.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan directly from your Linktude dashboard at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle. If you downgrade mid-cycle, you retain access to your current plan's features until that period ends. Note that subscription fees are non-refundable, so unused days on a higher tier are not credited back.
Are Linktude's subscription fees refundable?
Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If you cancel or downgrade, your plan remains active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. We strongly encourage you to use the 7-day free trial available on the Business Hub plan before committing to a paid cycle.
What happens to my link and data if I cancel my account?
If you downgrade or close your account, Linktude will cease publishing your link path and associated Commerce Gates. Financial transaction records may be retained for up to seven (7) years for legal compliance (tax and AML requirements), even after account closure. Non-financial account data is typically retained for up to 12 months to allow for reactivation, after which it is securely deleted. Accounts inactive for more than six (6) consecutive months may also be subject to suspension under our Terms of Use.
What kinds of products or activities are not allowed on Linktude?
Linktude prohibits a range of illegal, high-risk, and harmful activities. Strictly prohibited categories include: money laundering and financial fraud, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, the sale of counterfeit or stolen goods, pornography and adult content, online gambling, weapons and controlled substances, unlicensed financial services, and multi-level marketing (MLM) recruitment schemes. Any account found engaging in Prohibited Activities will be immediately suspended and pending settlements withheld. Please review our full Terms of Use for the complete list.
Is my data safe with Linktude? What information does Linktude store about me?
Linktude collects only the data necessary to provide the Service. For vendors, this includes your identity information, financial settlement details (bank account or USDC wallet address), and usage data from the dashboard. We do not store full raw card numbers or CVVs — that sensitive data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS certified PSP partners. All data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest, and we comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and GDPR principles.
Does Linktude sell or share my personal data with third parties?
Linktude does not sell your personal data. We share data only where strictly necessary — primarily with our licensed PSP partners (e.g., Flutterwave) to process and settle payments, and with cloud infrastructure providers who operate under strict confidentiality obligations. Any disclosure to government or regulatory bodies occurs only under a valid legal obligation.
Can I request access to or deletion of my personal data?
Yes. As a Vendor, you have the right to access, correct, export, or request erasure of your personal data. You can manage most of your account information directly from your dashboard settings. For formal data subject requests, submit a ticket at linktude.com/support. Please allow 15–30 business days for a full response. Note that certain financial and transaction records must be retained for legal compliance even following an erasure request.
Am I responsible for collecting and remitting taxes on my sales?
Yes. As the Merchant of Record, you are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting all taxes applicable to the goods and services you sell through your Linktude link — including income tax, VAT, sales tax, or any other transaction-based tax in your jurisdiction. Linktude does not calculate or remit taxes on your behalf and does not provide tax advice. We recommend consulting a qualified tax professional.
What happens if my account is flagged or suspended?
Linktude reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate any account that breaches our Terms of Use, engages in Prohibited Activities, shows signs of excessive chargebacks, or is flagged by our PSP partners for suspicious activity. Pending settlements may be withheld during an investigation. If you believe your account was suspended in error, you can submit a support ticket for review at linktude.com/support.
How do I contact Linktude support?
You can reach our support team by submitting a ticket on our support page at linktude.com/support. All tickets are reviewed by a real human — we do not use automated replies. For legal or privacy-related matters, submit a dedicated legal ticket via linktude.com/support and allow 15–30 business days for a full response.
What is the expected response time for support tickets?
Our average response time is 24 to 48 hours. Business Hub plan subscribers benefit from Priority Support, which means their tickets are reviewed sooner. To help us resolve your issue faster, include your Linktude username and link path in your message so we can locate and prioritise your account quickly.
Where can I find guides and documentation?
We offer a Knowledge Base and self-service guides accessible from your Linktude dashboard and the support page at linktude.com/support. These cover everything from setting up your first Commerce Gate to understanding settlement timelines, managing analytics, and configuring your link path. If you cannot find what you need, our support team is happy to assist.
What should I do if I suspect unauthorised access to my account?
Act immediately. Change your password from your account settings and notify our support team by submitting a ticket at linktude.com/support. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Linktude cannot be held liable for losses resulting from your failure to secure your account, so we encourage the use of a strong, unique password.
How do I report a Linktude link I believe is fraudulent or violating platform rules?
If you encounter a linktu.de link that appears to be used for fraud, impersonation, or any Prohibited Activity, please report it through our support page at linktude.com/support. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Linktude reserves the right to remove any Link Path found to be in violation of our Terms of Use without prior notice.
What if I have a dispute with Linktude that I cannot resolve informally?
Our Terms of Use require that disputes first go through a 60-day informal resolution process via written notice. If no resolution is reached, disputes are referred to binding arbitration under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with Lagos as the seat of arbitration. For any urgent matter involving intellectual property infringement, either party may seek emergency injunctive relief through the courts. Submit your initial dispute notice through our support page at linktude.com/support.
